Etheria was one realm once, before the Sundering broke the old empires and left their bones across the land. Now it is a continent of violent frontiers and ancient pacts, where deep magic runs through the soil and nightmare creatures stalk the dark. Guilds rise and fall over resources, borders, and blood.
There is no kingdom here that will protect you. The crowns that ruled before the Sundering are dust, and the powers that replaced them are the ones players build. Cities fall. Borders shift. Cataclysms scar the map. Every road is a risk, and every risk is a choice.

The regions of Etheria
Trade & treachery
A vast red-watered expanse named for the iron that bleeds from its depths. Its ports are the beating heart of Etheria's trade, where fortunes are made between tides and merchant fleets fly the colors of whatever guild holds the harbor this season. The wealth here is real, and so are the knives.
The frozen reaches
The cold north, where the Sundering bit deepest. Glacial wastes hide the ruins of the first empire and the things that froze with it. Survival is a craft of its own. Those who endure Blackrot come back harder, or do not come back at all.
Frontier & forge
A sprawl of mining towns, war camps, and lawless holds along the central frontier. Grimshaw produces the ore that arms Etheria and the mercenaries who use it. Whoever controls Grimshaw's forges controls who goes to war well-armed, and who goes poorly.
Spires of sorcery
Black spires rising from a haunted basin, where the old arcane orders fled after the Sundering. Forbidden magic is studied openly here and paid for in worse currency than coin. Power always has a price, and Shadowfall keeps the ledger.
